For over 30 years Woody Snell and Lynwood have set the standard for environmentally friendly development including innovative proactive approaches to erosion and sediment control to ensure clean, clear water.
Success stories include award winning projects totaling over 300 aces and 600 homes developed immediately adjacent to the Chattahoochee River. The Estates at Riverside Park, immediately adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, was well documented as the first development to
successfully implemented a polymer enhanced baffle grid to decrease turbidity below 25 NTU.
Chattahoochee Bluffs was nationally recognized for its innovative storm water
treatment system resulting in significant improvement of existing water quality.
Woody has conducted numerous training sessions with other developers and engineers to share the lessons learned from these and other innovative projects.
Woody has also served as an elected Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor for over 25 years, as
well as an active member of the Georgia Soil and Water Technical Advisory Committee, State of Georgia
NPDES Advisory Committee, Cobb County Development Standards Committee and Fulton County Development Advisory Committee.
Woody’s commitment to natural resource conservation was further recognized by his induction into the Georgia Association of Conservation Districts Hall of Fame in 2019.
